The Selby Estate Gardening Club in Tower Hamlets was established by Katherine Jackson from Spitalfields City Farm, and it has been recognised as empowering residents by helping teach horticultural skills and grow their own vegetables. Seed Guardians and residents Halema Begum, Anwara Uddin, Fatema Khanom and Sayada Sultana grow their own food on individual raised beds constructed on the communal lawns of the estate.
